Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Guatemala City – Antigua Guatemala.
A representative from Martsam Travel will meet you at Guatemala City Airport and will take you to your hotel in Antigua Guatemala.
Overnight in Antigua Guatemala.
Day 3:
Chichicastengo – Lake Atitlan
You will be met at your hotel by your private driver & guide for your transfer out to Lake Atitlan.
Get ready to begin your trip towards the heart of the Guatemalan highland, driving through incredibly colorful landscapes.
You will head to Chichicastenango to enjoy the multicolored market, where the scent of incense and the people's mysticism promises a unique atmosphere, bargaining of prices, and a church with mixed Mayan and Catholic traditions.
A unique market where only in Sunday and Thursday shows up to offer all kinds of goods to locals and visitors.
After visiting the market, your guide will take you to the home of a Quiche Maya Family where you will have lunch and you will be able to see home manufactured Costumes and learn about the Mask making process.
The Costumes are used in Ceremonial performances.
During your visit you will emerge yourself into their culture by witnessing their traditional dance.
Then you will be transferred to Lake Atitlán area, upon arrival take the boat directly to your hotel in Santiago Atitlán.

Day 5:
San Antonio Palopo - Flores
After breakfast you will aboard a boat trip to San Antonio Polopó known for the workshops of traditional pottery. We will have the opportunity to be part of the workshop and learn about the process with involves the preparation, molding and baking.
Optional tours: zip line or kayaking (not included)
After visiting San Antonio, you will be transferred to Guatemala City Airport take a flight to Flores. Upon arrival, ground transfer to your hotel at El Remate area which is an approximate 30-minutes driving.

Day 7:
Lake Peten Itza Boat Tour
Today you will be transferred to Flores; upon arrival, take a boat to Tayasal, considered the capital of Itzaes and founded on thirteen century. On your way to this beautiful island you will stop by Chechenal Beach where you will be able to take a delicious deep.
At the end you will visit Petencito, an educational environmental center and wildlife where you can see some endangered animals that this center is preserving and taking care of.
After the tour you will be transferred to Melchor de Mencos (Guate/Belize border) where a representative will be waiting outside Belize border to transfer you to the hotel.
Overnight in San Ignacio area.
Day 9:
Transfer to Belize City- San Pedro Ambergris Caye
After breakfast your driver will pick you up at the hotel reception and will transfer you to the ferry station in Belize City to take the water taxi to San Pedro Ambergris Caye.
Upon arrival, transfer by your own to Mayan Princess Hotel which is about 2 minutes walking.
Overnight in San Pedro Ambergris Caye.
Day 10-11:
San Pedro Ambergris Caye
Free days by your own.
Overnight in San Pedro Ambergris Caye.
Day 12:
Transfer to Belize City
Today transfer by your own to the ferry station to take the water taxi from San Pedro Ambergris Caye to Belize City.
Upon arrival, ground transfer to Belize International Airport on time to catch your flight back home.

Day 2:
El Pilar and Chocolate Workshop
A representative from Authentic Travel will be waiting for you at the hotel reception to transfer you to El Pilar, this is a small paradise located in the mountain forest of Guatemala and just 10 minutes away from the center of La Antigua Guatemala.
It has an infrastructure of trails for bird watching, which spread through the organic plantations of coffee, mountain forest, and cloud forest as well.
The vegetation of this reserve is mainly constituted of coffee, pine, and oaks, settling at an altitudinal range from 1,710 to 9,500 feet above sea level.
One of the main attractions in Finca El Pilar is in the zone of hummingbird feeders where it is possible to spot a wide variety of hummingbird species that inhabit the area feeding oneself simultaneously, which represents a great opportunity for birdwatchers.
After visiting El Pilar, your guide will lead you to the Chocolate Workshop place where you can learn the origin of chocolate and its history.
You will help to roast and grind nature’s treasure with stone tools by participating in the chocolate demonstration and making your own chocolate right from the Cacao bean.
After de demonstration and interaction, you will leave with your handmade chocolates, customized how you like them, and bring them back to your friends and family.

Day 4:
San Juan y Santiago – Lake Atitlan
This morning you will take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan (30min) to the village of San Juan La Laguna where you can visit the women’s textile cooperative to see hand weaving and the natural dye process.
Visit the studios / homes of the celebrated naïf painters, and the then continue to Santiago Village.
After lunch you will continue your tour to the village visiting the Maya God Maximon and learn about the textiles, spiritualism and beliefs of the T’zutujil Maya.
Each year a different "brotherhood" has the privilege of taking care of their God, therefore, his location change.
At Santiago have the chance to be an artist and paint your own Maya design on a clean canvas with help of the locals, to create an amazing souvenir where all family will have so much fun.
After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 6:
Tikal Tour
After breakfast, a representative from Martsam Travel will be waiting for you at the hotel reception to transfer you Tikal National Park.
You will enjoy a guided tour thorough the paths and main areas of the most important city of the Mayan World. Here you will find that nature and archaeology are wonderfully blended.
You will be able to see abundant wildlife, the Mayan forest, millennial temples silent witnesses of the birth and splendor as well as of the collapse of one of the most important civilizations in the planet, all this is in our visit to Tikal, The City of the Voices.
Overnight in Flores area
Day 8:
Horseback Riding & Xunantunich
After breakfast a representative will pick you up at the hotel to begin your Horseback riding adventure. Ride through wide open farmlands as well as covered jungle trails, which follow the Mopan River.
Along the way you will visit Xunantunich Archaeological Site, which is located across the green crystalline waters of the Mopan River; it’s the largest ceremonial center in the Belize River Valley, located on a natural limestone ridge providing a fantastic panoramic scene of the surrounding of the country from its hilltop location.
You will enjoy your tour through one of the most important sites in Belize, dating with an essentially classic period ceremonial centre with three ceremonial plazas enclosed by house mounds, pyramids, and palaces, the largest decorated castle with stucco friezes and masks of Classic style. After the tour you will return to the hotel.
